and then what? you guess where it will fit better? or where it will look nicer for your reputation?

Photography

Pictures taken with a film or a digital camera featuring a very minimal level of digital manipulation. Photographs that feature a significant amount of digital manipulation should be filed under Digital Art: Photomanipulation.


Photography Resolutions Guidelines
In an effort to make the photography gallery more convenient to browse, and also to encourage you to present your work in the most attractive manner possible, images should be no smaller than 300 pixels on the shortest side, and up to 1280 pixels on the longest side.


Digital Art

Digital Art, unlike traditional, means artwork originally created via the use of digital tools that mimic traditional utensils such as computer imaging/3D software, digital pen & tablet, computer mouse, or any similar tools.

There is a consideration, of course, for works that were created through traditional means, but were improved with the assistance of a computer. The decision, then, to pick either Traditional Art or Digital Art as the submission gallery for such works is left primarily to the discretion of the artist. If you feel that your work exhibits more traditionally-grounded techniques than digital ones, then Traditional Art should be the home for your submission. If you feel that there's been more digital work done to the piece than traditional work, then Digital Art should be the home for your submission.



A lot of people here at dA are prevaricating on the photograph art.. using PS or PSP (among others) adding some brushes, more adjustments than 'Photography' category needs, lens flare, filters.. blah blah.. you know what i mean and please follow the rules -.-

I'm not against PS or PSP, actually I have a manip account but I don't trick people who doesn't know and make them think that they will never reach that level.

I'm so fuckin' pissed off!!

So.. this is a lovely call to everyone who has edited his/her pictures more than this little article says .. change the deviation to the right category!
